In Japan, doctors are required to keep extremely premature babies from 22 weeks on - in China, preemies rarely have a chance to survive with less than 28 weeks. Fascinating documentary films and exciting thrillers – we can make your films barrier-free thanks to acoustic image descriptions. Everything from the manuscript to the finished recording.
Music and sound design round off your images in the best possible manner: from TV documentaries via industry films to a viral web clip. Using sounds and instruments from all over the world we can create soundscapes to illustrate your films and enrich them with associations and emotions. In doing so we can offer you everything from individual compositions to the selection and licensing of already existing music.
A handful of loudspeakers in the studio is not sufficient to ensure a surround sound experience. We consider it important to use acoustic possibilities in an emotional and artistic manner. Films and sound art projects need ambitious ideas for sound. When we open our ears more oxygen gets into the brain !
Rescue your musical treasures! Things like your favourite mix tape from the 80s, your first LP, or the radio recording you made on your good old Grundig tape recorder. Or your VHS collection. We can digitalise them: on request, also with technical optimisation and a cover.
Sound art, music, video clips, radio plays. Not to speak of a good portion of media technology from sound design all the way to video editing. The range of our interests leads us to undertake vastly differing projects: from sound collages via viral web movies all the way to communication platforms on the Internet. Here you can see and listen to some of the digital solutions and forms of expression that we can offer.
Reflect Your Future

The digital media platform www.emscherplayer.de bases its work on the three pillars of art, culture and communication. Here we we work with powerful partners to create a process that symbolises the theme of “change” both technically and in content: by means of streaming, a databank and media conversion.
studio b media has produced a sound installation to present the production processes in the Moritz Fiege private brewery in Bochum. For safety reasons the bottling plant cannot be put into operation when groups of visitors enter the room. The process can however be made palpable to guests by means of a four-channel sound collage.
RiverSound is a platform for international sound art, which exists side-by-side with ecological plans to restructure the Emscher River: in studio productions and media publications, live elements from the work and in exchange with other forms of artistic expression like film, dance and performance. (DVD)

EMSCHERKUNST invites its customers to explore the countryside by bike. The “Emschergenossenschaft” not only recommends three tours in the form of maps but also acoustically. Audio guides are available on www.emscherplayer.de and in the audio pillars in the exhibition’s visitor centres.
A media production agency with a studio and integrated idea laboratory. Our production and ideas areas comprise: Texts and sound for media, in particular the creation of commercial and editorial articles for broadcasting stations, digital media and the Internet. Music settings and postproduction for TV, video and events, as longside media presentations and documentations of artistic processes and projects. Technical media services for businesses and private customers.
What we offer.
Surprising ideas, thought-through concepts, refined sounds, appropriate editing, dramatic productions, exceptional direction and a committed production process. All with the aim of providing the best possible media presence for our customers and their products.
How do we achieve that?
By providing development and realization from one source for many of our productions. Dialogue with the customer creates a precise formulation of the task - in the subsequent brainstorming, the constant access to sounds and voices in the own studio helps to achieve the desired goal.
How we are.
Experienced: Since 1992, over 2000 customers have put their trust in us. From local business firms all the way to internationally renowned brand names, from local radio stations all the way to public broadcasting companies. Reliable and punctual: up to now we’ve always been on the air. Trustworthy: we handle sensitive information and customers’ data with the necessary care. Eager to learn: in our daily work we include our scientific findings, research results and experiences in marketing, communication and advertising. Flexible: if a task suddenly takes a different turn than originally planned, we can come up with a reliable solution.

The director always has the last word. Or do we mean the copywriter? Or the customer? Or the speaker? As we all know the finished result is what finally counts.
Anyone putting his nose around the door of studio b is almost certain to instantly recognise the fragrance of fine dark brown beans fresh from the roaster, ground and prepared in a slim silver machine called "Primadonna". Our website employs the “+1“-buttom from Google+ belonging to Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google“. Each time our website receives an access request equipped with a “+1“ component, the component prompts your browser to download an image of this component from Google. Through this process, Google is informed precisely which page of our website is being visited. As specified by Google, your visit undergoes additional analysis in the event you are not logged into your Google account. If you access our site while logged into Google and press the “+1" button, Google can collect information about your Google account, websites you recommend as well as your IP address, along with other browser-related information. This allows your “+1“ recommendation to be stored and publicized. We use the “Google Maps” component on our website in combination with the so-called “Share function". “Google Maps” is a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google.”
Each time this component is called up, Google sets a cookie in order to process the user configuration and data when the page with the integrated “Google Maps” component is displayed. As a general rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but rather expires after a certain time, as long as it is not previously manually deleted by you.
The Google Maps function also includes the following recommendation buttons:
“Google+-Button” from the company Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA; “Facebook-Button” from the company Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA; “Twitter-Button” from the company Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. By calling up the “Google Maps” page, these “Recommendation components” cause the browser you are using to download a corresponding display of the component from the respective provider. In this way, the respective provider mentioned above will be informed about which specific page of our internet site you are currently visiting.
If you are logged in to your personal account at the provider previously mentioned at the time of calling up the “Google Maps” page, this will be able to collect the information obtained about the websites recommended by you as well as your IP address and other browser relevant information and link it to your respective account.
If you want to prevent this transmission and storage of data by the respective provider about you and your behaviour on our website, you must log out of those providers before you visit our site.
You can find out more about the data collection of the respective providers via the following links:
